About The Foundation
In 2008, the Kernersville Medical Center Foundation was created to respond to donors making gifts in gratitude, memory and celebration; support patient programs at the hospital; and leave a legacy for future generations. A board of 19 dedicated community volunteers oversees Foundation activities. John G. Wolfe III has been selected as the first chairman of the Kernersville Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors.
The Kernersville Medical Center Foundation will act in several capacities, including serving as an advisory board for the hospital, working as a liaison between the hospital and the community, managing special events, raising funds for supplemental programming for hospital patients, overseeing community involvement and establishing an auxiliary for the hospital.
In addition to the personal satisfaction gained from supporting healthy communities and helping us save and revitalize lives, donors may also reduce their income or capital gains taxes, depending on how a gift is made. Moreover, many people can reduce the tax burden on their estates by incorporating philanthropy in their estate planning. The Foundation encourages individuals with a special interest to contact the staff. Tax laws are complex and can frequently change. We encourage donors to consult a knowledgeable attorney and/or accountant regarding tax law and a contemplated gift.
